What this medicine is used for

The name of your medicine is Seroquel XR 50/100 mg. It contains quetiapine fumarate. It belongs to a group of medicines called antipsychotics.

Seroquel XR 50 mg belongs to a group of medicines called anti-psychotic medicines.

Quetiapine Fumarate is used to relieve the symptoms of mental depression and anxiety (such as, but not limited to, restlessness, tiredness, agitation, irritability, forgetfulness, and anxiety).

The indications for Seroquel XR 50 mg and Seroquel XR 100 mg are schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, manic depression, mixed episodes (not all episodes) and mixed episodes associated with other mental illnesses (such as epilepsy, neuropsychiatric conditions, and dementia).

It should be taken at the same time each day as prescribed by your doctor or as prescribed by your pharmacist.

The dosage form is a pack of two or more tablets. Your doctor will tell you how many you should take each day.

When you must not take it
